TeacherSolutions.NET Data Center
To have a solid, reliable web site, you must have a good foundation. Which is why we have built TeacherSolutions.net from the ground up to have world class systems and support.
The foundation of web hosting solution is not the software it runs or even the server it's upon which its running. To steal a catch phrase: "it's the network". The best software on the fastest servers won't mean a thing if the network connection goes out - which is why TeacherSolutions.net sits atop RackSpace's Zero-Downtime Network(TM).
Rackspace Zero-Downtime Network
RackSpace's network over the since its inception over four years ago has been down a sum total of zero seconds. Zero. How is that possible? Serious redundancy. Here's an example:
Until the late 90s the New York Stock Exchange processed trades from three completely redundant data centers spread throughout the United States. Y2K concerns led to them adding a fourth data center (along with generators, bottled water and walkie-talkies). We have five data centers throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Combine that with nine network providers to give you the one of most redundant private networks in the world.
RackSpace's web site has more details on the lengths they go to at each data center to offer N+1 redundancy, but trust us - they're substantial. (http://www.rackspace.com/network/datacentertour.php)
Ultra Load Balancing
Many popular web sites use a system called load balancing to direct the traffic going to a single web site to multiple web servers. Traditionally load balancing has been employed by very popular (busy) web sites. By sharing the load between multiple servers you can have improved speed despite heavy traffic.
We taken it load balancing two steps further. First, the loads are balance not only between multiple servers but multiple data centers allowing a web site to stay online even if a server farm is reduced to rubble — or something less dramatic happens such as a hard drive failure or power outage (assuming the outage occurs during a diesel shortage).
Nice, but we've gone even further. Right behind our firewalls (which keep your files ultra secure), we've employed quite possibly the most advanced load-balancing technologies ever. Our Ultra Load Balancing System actually checks the type of each file, sending files to the native clusters where they will perform the best. So every Windows-based page is served from a cluster built and optimized especially for Windows, and every Linux-based page is served from a cluster built and optimized especially for Linux.
Window AND Linux Web Hosting
Here's the best part: it's not just that both files work. It's that both files work natively and automatically. Sure, it's possible for Linux and Windows servers to sort of act like each other through clunky and unreliable emulation, but we have strong feelings about that: it's a hack and it's cheating. The fact is, any technology always works best in its native environment. And providing multiple, native environments is one area where our enterprise server cluster system really shines. No matter what technologies you use to build your site–ASP.net, PHP, Perl, Python, FrontPage, or a combination of all of them–rest assured that your site will have impressive, reliable, and native performance.

We know how frustrating it can be to try and receive support from someone you can barely understand halfway around the world. Our technical support team's call center is located in San Antonio, Texas (next to one of our five data centers).
Our support team will assist you with all aspects of the control panel, general connectivity issues (i.e. web, mail, webmail, ftp, and database) and basic web site troubleshooting concerns. The support team members, however, will be unable to assist you in the installation of paid, opensource, or custom code (PHP, ASP, .NET, etc.). With that said, if you contact our support team they will do everything they can to point you in the right direction if you need help installing a particular script.
