Register A Domain

Call it a "dot-com name," a URL, or a domain. Whatever you call it, it's the cornerstone of your online presence, and we make getting one easy.  There are 3 ways you can register a domain for your teacher web site.

  • Let us handle your domain registration - Simply enter the domain you want during our new customer registration process.  We'll register the domain, setup the DNS, and handle everything. It doesn't get any easier.  If the domain you select has already been registered, we will notify you and delay site setup until you select a new domain to be registered. Domain Cost $15/year
  • Register the domain yourself. - Go to our Teacher Solutions Registry Rocket site and signup for a the domain of your choice. A little more work, but our Registry Rocket site will alert you if you requested domain is already taken (and suggest similar available domains).  Domain Cost $15/year.
  • Other - Register your domain with another registration company.  Then update the DNS settings to "dns1.stabletransit.com" & "dns2.stabletransit.com" (without the quotes).  We don't mind if you register your domain elsewhere, but we will be unable to assist you if your domain registration ever has any problems. (you will have to contact your registrar).  Domain Cost $?/year

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the nature of domain registrations, all registrations are FINAL. That means if you misspell your domain or change your mind in any way - it doesn't matter.  You still own the domain and will not be given a refund.  This is not a Teacher Solutions policy, it is a policy of Domain Registrar Industry. This policy is due to the way that unregistered domain names are shared and how they are regulated by the government.  This policy is necessary to comply with federal regulations and to discourage fraud.

So please double check your spelling and make sure you really want that domain before you register it.  On the plus side, it's only $15 we're talking about here - not your first born child.

If you decide you no longer need your domain, simply do not renew it.  It will expire on the anniversary of it's registration.  Shortly after expiration, that name will be released to the public for someone else to register.
